We left Lesotho knowing we had to do something to help our world neighbors, especially the very vulnerable, children.

Our Vision

Starting Now.

Tacoma/Pierce County citizens have initiated a community-to-community rescue effort called the Global Neighbor Project. This effort is dedicated to helping meet the special needs of orphaned and vulnerable children in Lesotho and the community of Sekameng. As these children struggle, they are forced to drop out of school to find food, collect water and care for siblings. Because the orphan’s neighbors are poor, often there is no one to care for them.

We are helping this community with their essential needs of safe water, nutritious food, health care, education, Micro-Enterprise development and compassionate care for orphans.Since 2006, we have raised over $100,000 to fund crucial projects and programs in Sekameng, Lesotho, and over 400 children have been sponsored.

Join Us.

We’re asking all South Sound citizens to participate in this rescue effort. Individuals, families, neighborhoods, businesses, schools, service clubs, faith-based organizations, and government agencies–our entire community reaching out to another community lost in an unbelievable crisis.
